Our Administrative Team

Sylvia DiCrescentis, Artistic Director

With 20 years of experience performing for weddings and events, there is not much I have not seen! In 2016, I formed the Blackstone Valley String Quartet with musicians I had known for over a decade. I had already established a successful teaching career, but I was eager for an opportunity to regularly perform. Over the past 7 years, we have expanded our core network of musicians well beyond the traditional string quartet.

I am incredibly passionate about making great music of all styles and genres and I am obsessed with the details! You can find me on any given day pouring over organizational tools, making spreadsheets and strategizing about how we can possibly make what we do better, more consistent and more fun.

When I am not in the office, performing or teaching I am a wife and mom of 2 littles. We spend our off days going on hikes and cultivating our indoor jungle.

Resident Musicians

For us, it is crucial that the music at each event is as excellent as the last. We accomplish this with our trusted team and professional network. All of our resident musicians are our “first call” for our events. That means, the majority of musicians at your event will be this tight group. We also have a large network of musicians. So, if anything comes up you will not be down a player!
